Plastic Storage Boxes
Boxes are highly variable receptacles. When no shape of a box is described, a typical rectangular box may be expected. A box may have a horizontal cross section that is square, elongated, round, sloped or may have domed top surfaces as well as non-vertical sides. A box, normally, may be opened by raising, sliding or removing its lid. The lid may be hinged or fastened by a catch, clasp or lock. Whatever its shape or purpose is, or for that matter the material of which it is fashioned, it is the direct descendant of the ?chest` that was one of the most ancient articles of domestic furniture. The most common use of the term ?box` is in the packaging industry as well as in cargo transport. Boxes for packaging and shipping are most commonly made of cardboard. Wooden boxes are used for shipping heavy or delicate objects. Large wooden boxes are usually called crates. Cardboard boxes are made from either flat or corrugated cardboard. However, there has been an increased usage of plastics for manufacturing such storage boxes. This is because Plastic Storage Boxes are durable and resistant to the extremes of environment. Plastic Storage Boxes are also lighter and cheaper as compared to their wooden or metallic counterparts. Plastic Storage Boxes are designed in such a way that pressure applied on one side of the box is equally divided among all the four sides, thereby, increasing the strength of the box. Plastic Storage Boxes usually contain inner packing materials, such as bubble bags and ordinary synthetic packing material. As a result, Plastic Storage Boxes have the remarkable property of remaining intact even in most harsh environments. Nowadays, newer Plastic Storage Boxes also have a fabric layer inside, which makes them more resistant to harsh conditions. Overall, Plastic Storage Boxes are very useful items that can be recycled and reused for different purposes other than storage, such as in homes and offices.
